Update: I just uploaded a new version that lets you tweak values… download it again!
After a rather long wait, I finally got the 3d box working. While it was just for me to learnt the basics, it’s still useful for teaching purposes. Also, rather than a “spinning” box, as I attempted to make, I got more of a “sliding” box that goes in a circle. Now that I think about it, the math makes sense, but I was sure supprised the first time I fired it up.
This picture is the “front” view.

Boring eh? Doesn’t look 3-d at all. However when it starts sliding around… things get cool. Here are 2 screen shots put together:

Still, not the most 3d thing I’ve ever seen. But once you run the program, it looks much better.

Again, I’m sorry for using VB! Once I get the math down, I’m going to convert to Java or C… FYI I don’t know Java, but a friend told me that in terms of platform compatability, that’s the way to go.
Anywho, once I get some time on my hands, I’m going to write a wicked big tutorial on 3d, projection, etc. But until then, see ya!
